About Us
Shedrow Sales  was founded by Stacy Dysart, an avid horsewoman, and daughter of a
racetrack veterinarian.  Stacy's father, Jim, has practiced equine veterinary medicine
at racetracks in Colorado and Wyoming since the mid '70's.
Stacy's love affair with horses began as a youngster. Her first horse
was a "racetrack reject" that her father purchased as a
bulldogging prospect after the ornery buckskin was ruled off the
racetrack for bad behavior.  Coincidentally, Bucky didn't have
much interest in bulldogging either, but kids he did.  The rebel
turned babysitter racked up a slew of blue ribbons and trophies
over his long-lived show career for Stacy and her younger brother,
Jay.

And so the story began.  As Stacy and
Jay began to outgrow
Bucky, the search for replacements commenced.  Recognizing
that many unsuccessful racehorses were good-minded, talented,
and suitable for second careers, Stacy's father found the family's
replacements on the track.  Since then,
the Dysart kids have found
much success in the show and rodeo arenas on retired
racehorses--it's all they ride.
Over the years, Stacy and her father have taken-in dozens of retired racehorses for
owners and trainers seeking new homes and new careers for their retirees.  Some
haven't left the place; they became the family's personal horses.  The majority,
though, have been placed into new homes and given a second chance for victory--just
in a different winner's circle. This, is the ultimate mission of Shedrow Sales.
